I'M A CHRISTIAN

I’M A CHRISTIAN AND I WANT TO GET INVOLVED

Here at RUCU we’re always looking for people to get involved in all sorts of things. The CU is very busy running a variety of different things, meaning we need a lot of volunteers to get things going! From dropping PA equipment off on campus occasionally to handing out flyers on campus, to helping run an alpha course, there’s something for everyone to do! Check out the various sections of this site for things you can be involved in and people you can contact.

CHRISTIANITY EXPLORED

 

An informal course for people who'd like to investigate Christianity, or just brush up on the basics. It explores who Jesus was, what his aims were, and what it means to follow him. We are always looking for people to get involved in ways such as leadership and help to prepare the evening meal. Check out RUCU'S Christianity Exlpored Page and sign up.

CAR OWNERS

 

We’re always looking for car owners to help transport food or PA equipment, and occasionally people, to our meetings. If you have a car and think that you would like to be put on a rosta, we’d really love that!

PUBLICITY TEAM

 

The publicity team is all about getting out there on campus and making a lot of noise, letting people know about various CU events we’re putting on. This involves all sorts of things, usually flyering! There are so many students in Reading and so few handing out flyers! We desperately need more people who are willing to hand out flyers on campus to let people know about our events. We’re also looking for people creative people to design flyers and posters, and people interested in the performing arts to come up with creative publicity ideas! EVANGELISM TEAM

Within the CU there is an Evangelism Team that helps to organise, plan and serve at the different evangelistic events that the CU puts on.  Members of the team would be expected to give time to serve at events (eg helping giving out free food), as well as take time to meet regularly to plan and to pray.  The team also carries out questionnaires to encourage people to think about Christianity and Jesus.
